Somewhere over the rainbow

A few weeks ago we saw a vibrant rainbow out our back door.  You know,  they always look so much better in real life than they do in a photo, but this one's pretty good.  Plenty of contrast.  It was actually a double rainbow.

Cubmobile 2011

Fun was had by all at Cubmobile 2011 for Cub Scouts.  Cubmobile is like soap box racing down a city street in Warsaw, right next to the Zimnmer building.  The road has been honorarily named Cubmobile Lane.  Lots of crashes into the hay bales occurred and miraculously, no one was seriously injured.  Some of these boys are at lightning speed!  Ethan crosses over into Boy Scouts next week (someone tell me, please, how did that happen!!!)  and this was his last cubmobile race.  Ah, bittersweet.

Zoo Day for Scouts

Well, it was another in a series of many rainy days at the zoo.  Actually, if it is not pouring, rainy days are excellent zoo days because most people go home!  Highlights below...

New pets, part 2

We also got a pair of fire-bellied toads.  Wesley has named one Inferno and one Red-belly.  In one photo you can actually see Inferno's fire belly, although the view through the glass is not the best.  Ethan has named the gecko, Rango.

Happy Birthday, Ethan!

My firstborn turns eleven today.  How can he possibly be that old?  It seems like just a few short years ago that he was came into my life and changed it forever - so much for the better.  I thank God for giving me an amazing son that has an endless stream of curiosity, a tender heart, a helpful spirit, and a boundless supply of energy.  His brain just never stops cranking out new things!   I love you so much, Ethan!
